A rare Chelsea porcelain figure of peasant dancing, modelled by Joseph Willems after a Meissen original. English circa 1755, red anchor mark. Provenance: Albert Amor Ltd London 11/12/2018 (4500 pounds). Robert Burke collection no 73. Reference: The Triangle and Raised Anchor Wares by Dr. F Severne McKenna Plate 79. This figure is copied from a Meissen figure of a Dancing Peasant modelled by Kandler in 1740, see Len and Yvonne Adams, Meissen Portrait Figures (1987) p. 57. 16 cm high, 9.5 cm wide, base 6.5 cm wide
