A small pair of Satsuma vases, Meiji period (1868-1912) the pear shaped pair with short everted necks with gilded dragon handles, and panel decorated with opposite pairs of figural narrative scenes in indoor and outdoor settings, surrounded by tapestry decoration to the neck and foot, with Shimazu crest and maker's mark to the underside.
