Toki - adze, 19th century or earlier medium to pale green pounamu toki, straight blade with small chips along cutting edge, steep short bevel with rounded chin. Straight vertical sides to rounded poll, groups of small notches along both ventral edges. Poll is reduced in thickness, with suspension hole, a deep lateral groove across poll below the hole, entire surface polished. Length 23 cmm. Provenance: Estate of John Lawford.
