Patu onewa, a large impressive 19th century nephrite stone club, of traditional form, rounded base with very small side chips off both sides of the blade. Short cylindrical handle with hourglass suspension hole, oval knob with four concentric ridges and one at the centre. Entire surface polished. Length 41.8 cm. Provenance: Estate of John Lawford.
