19th century part Russian gilt silver cutlery, service, marked, Moscow, 1875, Firm of Sazikov, with Imperial warrant marks, comprising of six main knives (with silver blades), six main spoons, five teaspoons, and five forks, all in elaborate Kings pattern, total weight 1592gm note: the firm of Sazikov was one of the most well-regarded jewellery firms of nineteenth-century Russia and one of the greatest innovators in the field. In 1837, Sazikov was appointed official purveyor of silverware to Tsar Nicholas I and in 1844 received the Imperial Warrant.
