Hiroe Swen (Japanese/Australian, b. 1934). Defying Gravity I, Vase, c. 2018, slab and coil built stoneware of rounded box form, with white satin glaze, decorated with blue ink bird motifs and blue ink abstract panels, artists signature and seals impressed on base, height 27 cm width 15.5 cm depth 11 cm.
