A Chinese painting of Zhong Kui, Qing Dynasty (1644-1912), Powerfully painted with Zhong Kui and a bat, with a cursive calligraphic inscription and signature to the upper right corner along with two seals. The painting 120 cm high, 56 cm wide. The scroll mounting 194 cm high, 71 cm wide. Provenance: acquired by British Consul general to china Sir George Sinclair moss (1882-1959), during his official posting to china, and thence by descent. Condition: old repairs, crease marks, areas of discolouration, small tears.
