A Tibetan Silver-Mounted short sword, 18th / 19th century, the single-edged steel blade inscribed in Tibetan sanskrit and mounted with silver hilt and silver and iron scabbard, the silver decorated with incised scrolling foliage and repousse frollicking lions amongst scrolling flowers, the scabbard and pommel inset with large cabochon coral and turquoise beads. Christie's label attached to the reverse of the pommel reading 'Mar 27 '03, lot 132'. The blade 41.5 cm long, the sword together with scabbard 64 cm long, condition: minor old wear, but no visible faults or damage
