Two Chinese cinnabar boxes, Qing Dynasty (1644-1912), 19th century, comprising one larger domed-top round box decorated with figures in a landscape stacking a bale of rice, and a smaller round tricolour box decorated with scholars in a landscape. The larger box 10.5 cm high, 15.5 cm diameter, condition: the larger box with chipping, lacquer losses and a repaired crack, and old relacquering to the inner surfaces of the box edges.
