A fine French Art Nouveau walnut and burr elm sideboard attributed to Gauthier-Poinsignon & Cie, early 20th century, the upper part with a moulded cornice above a pair of glazed and mirror-backed compartments with an open mirror-backed compartment below, the break-front lower part with a marble top to its centre between and above an arrangement of frieze drawers and cupboard doors, on shaped feet, panelled and moulded throughout, the drawer fronts, doors, and other front and side panels veneered in burr elm, the upper corners and the doors carved in relief with leaves and small cones, the gilt metal drawer pulls and door escutcheons conforming with these carved details, 208 cm high, 173 cm wide, 58 cm deep
