A rare 18th century French Saint Cloud gold mounted porcelain and hardstone snuff box, modelled as a classical mother and child with pair of birds, highlighted with floral garlands. The fancy gold mount with opaque white champleve band inlaid with inscription 'Rien N'est Trop Bon Pour Ce Qu'on Aime'. The lid set with banded agate oval panel. c.1750, height 5 cm. The porcelain loose in the mount. Some losses to the gold mount.
