A pair of a Cantonese export famille rose vases, late Qing, mid 19th century the fine pair of rose medallion baluster vases with everted rims, adorned with gilt lug handles to the neck and chilongs to the shoulder, finely hand painted overall in bright coloured enamels with shaped panels depicting figural scenes in interiors and birds on peony branches with auspicious fruit and butterflies, divided by foliate borders with butterflies and Buddhist objects on gilt ground, unmarked.
