A large pair of Dutch polychrome Delft style covered vases, circa 1900 the pair of ribbed ovoid vases with conforming domed lids surmounted by bird finials, hand decorated with bird life over blooming flower and foliate sprays on a cream painted ground, between successive lappet and ruyi borders, in blue, iron red, yellow, green and aubergine palette, bearing Ak monogram to the underside (after Adrianus Kocx 1687-1701). Height 49 cm
