A mounted woven textile of Vera Cummings Harata Rewiri Tarapata, woven in muted shades of brown, black, green, and purple. Mounted between boards. Harata Rewiri Tarapata was a descendant of Tamati Waaka Nene and Eru Patuone who were both signatories of Te Tiriti o Waitangi. As a teenager, she delivered ammunition to Ngapuhi warriors at Ruapekapeka (1845-46). Textile 34.1 x 25.5 cm, board 53.5 x 44.2 cm
