A Te Ariki wool travel rug, decorated with a tukutuku panel pattern in pink, yellow and orange. Original onehunga woollen mills label attached. Onehunga woollen mills produced Te Ariki blankets in various colours and Maori designs. The onehunga mills were established in 1886 to manufacture woollen goods for a market in demand. The mills supported the local economy and sheep farmers. 174.5 x 147.5 cm
