A handwritten letter from Len Castle and a catalogue from the Hamada Museum collection, a handwritten letter in black ink addressed to Pat, dated November 22nd 2009. The letter references the exhibition 'Mountain to the sea' and the Shoji Hamada Museum collection. Included is a pictorial catalogue of the Hamada collection with coloured images, bound with coil binding and laminate covers. Len Castle (1924 - 2011) is one the most recognisable and well versed figures in New Zealand applied arts. His spectacular forms, often taking inspiration from geothermal activity and landscapes, revolutionised studio pottery.
