An old Maori probably pre-European pounamu toki, of flat wide form, the reduced tapered pole/ handle with evidence of flake chipping. Good dark green tone with pale inclusions. The mildly curved bevel with minor chipping, length 11.7 cm. Provenance: from a private Nelson estate.
