A pair of original French Versailles sandstone satyr urns, 18th century, with bell flower decoration to the flaring neck and embellished to the body with pairs of leering satyr masks linked with floral and fruiting swags, ring lug handles to the sides, and raised on moulded pedestals to square bases, raised on later plinths, urns 152 cm high, the bases 77 cm high, 64 cm wide, 64 cm deep. Provenance: Purchased Houdan, France, during the 1974 de-accessioning of chateau objects
