A pair of monumental lacquered wood figures of Bodhisattvas, in the Ming style, one seated on the back of a recumbent lion its head turned to the front and mouth open, the deity with left arm resting on her raised left knee; the other seated on the back of an elephant with hands in vitarkamudra, both wearing loosely draped dhoti tied at the waist and shawls over the shoulders with necklaces over their bare chests, the heads with downcast gaze and surmounted by an elaborate five-leaf diadem encircling a high chignon, traces of original polychrome lacquer, 152 cm and 160 cm high
