A large vernis martin style painted Italian chest, of serpentine profile, the surface decorated with a pastoral figural scene above a frieze of running foliage in high relief, the body similarly decorated, with pendent husks issuing from ram's heads to the canted corners and raised on hoof style feet, with key, 95.5 cm high, 135.5 cm, 60 cm deep.
