A rare, stainless steel Tudor Prince oyster date Ranger wristwatch. The 34 mm stainless steel case is in the rounded traditional oyster shape with a matte black, Tudor rose logo signed dial with tritium Arabic quarter hour markers and date aperture at 3 o'clock. Model reference 7996. Automatic self winding Eta movement, calibre 2484. Case has stainless steel Rolex graduated bracelet added of similar age that fits for this model. Original paperwork supplied and dated 15.11.1972. A Tudor box supplied. 'The 7996 was the first 'allowable' Oysterdate Ranger-dial reference with a date. This was the first reasonably complicated Ranger. It even featured the hallmark cyclops over 3. It was powered by an Eta 2484, a non-quickset date. It saw an extremely short production run, from 1965-1966. For those who know Rolex, this means rare.' .
