A Qing Dynasty porcelain polychrome baluster floor jar and cover the upper surface decorated with six ruyi and flower heads on an Imperial yellow ground above six shaped panels of birds and flowers individual combinations on a black ground, the panels above a border of six ruyi enclosing alternating flower sprig motifs and combined symbols of the broom, stone chime and ribbon, the cover similarly decorated with six ruyi and floral motifs, surmounted by a lotus bud finial. Note; chip and crack to jar body rim, some glaze loss, circa 1850. Height 65 cm
