A Royal Worcester highland cattle painted cover vase by E. Townsend of elegant ovoid form raised on a pedestal ring foot (gilded) and with restrained classical twin handles to the shoulder, shape 2713/2, the fore painted with two highland cattle standing amongst flowering heather in a misty landscape, the rear decorated with vignette of a misted landscape, the cover plain gilded and surmounted by a knobbled finial. Black mark for post 1958. Height 25 cm
