A carved wood Blolo Bian figure, early 20th century, Baule, ivory coast, representing a standing male figure, hands resting on his stomach with raised scarifications on the body, neck and face, a string of glass beads around its waist. Height 27.5 cm. Provenance: Christie's, Paris, African and Oceanic Arts, 11 June 2007, lot 70, Micheline Benech, Paris, John Graham, Melbourne.
