A Soviet porcelain cup and saucer after a design by Sergei Chekhonin, from the 'Ruslan & Ludmila' service, circa 1922, the cup with a roundel decorated with an imaginary domed city on an island in a lake, each with gilt borders and hammer, sickle and cog marks to base.
