A Soviet porcelain cup and saucer after a design by Sergei Chekhonin, Petrograd, 1920, painted in the horn of Plenty design with a black and gilded design of a cornucopia issuing berries and foliage, the saucer with blue factory mark beside green crowned cypher for Nicholas II dated 1899 to base, the cup with blue factory mark and cancelled Imperial factory mark to base. Height of cup 6.5 cm, diameter of saucer: 16.2 cm. Provenance: The Estate of the Hon. Dr John Kennedy McLaughlin Am, Sydney.
