A Pu Fu robe, China, late 19th century. This pu fu would have been worn over a jifu robe. Made from silk damask with roundels on the back and sleeves. Decorated with an embroidered military rank badge of a pheasant, which could be changed as the owner changed rank. Length 115 cm, width 150 cm
