Carlton: 1987 bronze premiership medal by Andor Meszaros (who also designed the 1956 Melbourne Olympics medals), with a footballer to the obverse, reverse showing the names of players in their positions, surrounded by 'Victorian Football League : Carlton : Premiers : 1987'. Carlton finished the home-and-away rounds in top position on the ladder with 18 wins and 4 losses. Carlton went on to defeat Hawthorn in the 2nd Semi-Final and again in the Grand Final, with 92,754 fans at the MCG. This was Carlton's 15th Premiership. Provenance: Presented to a member of the Carlton Board on the occasion of winning the 1987 Premiership.
