Carlton: 1981 bronze premiership medal by Andor Meszaros (who also designed 1956 Melbourne Olympics medals), with a footballer to the obverse, reverse showing the names of players in their positions, surrounded by 'Victorian Football League : Carlton : Premiers : 1981'. Carlton finished the home-and-away rounds on top of the ladder with 17 wins and 5 losses. Carlton went on to defeat Geelong in the 2nd Semi-Final and Collingwood in the Grand Final, with 112,964 fans at the MCG. Provenance: Presented to a member of the Carlton Board on the occasion of winning the 1981 Premiership.
