Beverley Ann Bainbridge (nee Spargo, 1940 - 2016). 1956 Team track suit top with official label and Australian Team emblem; 1956 Australian Team tie; another Australian Team track suit top (probably Australian Team to Cardiff Games 1958) and two Australian Team swim suits by Speedo, one green with green-backed Australian map logo sewn on, the other with an embroidered Australian map in gold. (5 items). Mixed condition. Bainbridge, aged only 16, was part of the Australian swim team at the Melbourne Olympics. She competed in the 100 meter butterfly. She enjoyed success at the 1958 Commonwealth Games at Cardiff, where she won Gold in the 110 yd butterfly, and Silver in the 4 x 110 yd medley.
