The Inaugural International Cricket Conference (Icc) Trophy, Associate Members Competition, Birmingham, England, May - June 1979: A remarkable and unique memento of this competition, the prelude to the Cricket World Cup, comprising of framed postcard size photos of the teams (with all players and officials named), mounted around a leather belt which has been signed by the members of the fourteen teams. The signatures were collected by Jim White, who accompanied the Singapore Team. Overall 160 x 37 cm. The participating teams were Argentina, Bangladesh, Bermuda, Canada, Denmark, East Africa, Fiji, Holland, Israel, Malaysia, Papua New Guinea, Singapore, Sri Lanka & United States fo America. Sri Lanka, with a team featuring many national team players won the first Icc Trophy defeating Canada in the final. This qualified them to participate in the World Cup, which the West Indies won. John Cecil Cooke was Manager of the Singapore Team.
