A Roman bronze military breast plate decoration, 1st century AD, rare Roman military breast plate decoration. The form it takes is two bronze straps, still with their rivets, which suspend a double scroll with lunate pendant and phallus below. The piece still retains its three round coral inserts and its suspended droplets. Found on the outskirts of Vindobonna, Austria (modern Vienna) in association with arrowheads, ballista bolts, iron surgeons tongs, onega bolts etc, length 11 cm
