Description:
A Roman gaming board & counters, England, 1st-3rd century AD, found on the UK south coast, near Bournemouth on a fort site near a tower. The counters are made from ground down pottery and were found nearby. The board and counters were given to the local Museum in the 1950's by Mr Scott. Provenance: Purchased Garry Edwards, ancient Antiquities, Nottingshire, England, 2002
