A large and impressive 'Albert Rosenhain' steamer trunk with all original internal fittings, German circa 1930, This trunk was purchased by Mr. Gustav Herrmann from Albert Rosenhain Berlin in the 1930's. In 1933 Mr. Hermann, his wife and daughter packed the trunk with family possessions and fled Nazi Germany, The family travelled out of Germany by train and eventually found their way to Australia by ship, Mr. Herrmann and his business partner, Mr. Steinberg were the largest hat manufacturers in Germany, their factory was based in the town of Luckenwalde, The trunk has remained in the Herrmann family, until purchased by Daryl Mills. Albert Rosenhain travel products were manufactured to the highest standards, height 145 cm, width 58 cm, depth 75 cm
