Description:
Vintage, stainless steel Seiko automatic wristwatch. Model reference 6139. Chocolate coloured dial with subdial at 6 o'clock and day and date aperture at 3 o'clock. 39.5 mm case on a brown top stitched strap. Calibre no.6139. 17 jewel movement. In working order. No box. In 1969 Seiko created the 6139 Speedtimer. This watch was very likely the first automatic chronograph to hit the market in teh late 60's. It would go on to become one of the most important and underappreciated vintage watches of the 20th century.
