A Danish royal portrait silver gilt and enamel trinket box, Anton Michelsen, Copenhagen, 1904, the plain box with a satin finish featuring a portrait medallion of Christian IX of Denmark, hallmarked to interior and base also with assayer mark of Christian F. Heise, 2.5 cm high, 6 cm wide, 7.5 cm deep, 120gms. Other Notes: the firm of Anton Michelsen was one of the most important Danish jewellery families with Anton's successor, son Carl, serving as jeweller to the Danish court from 1880 onwards
