A polychrome wood figure of Guanyin, late Ming/Qing dynasty, standing on a rockwork base, the right hand extended holding a flower, the left lowered clasping a fold of the trailing scarf, wearing a dhoti tied at the waist and falling in folds to the bare feet, a sash and jewels around the bare torso, the head with lowered gaze and long hair drawn into a high chignon fronted with a floral diadem and tied with a sash falling over either shoulder, traces of white, red and blue pigments, 140 cm high
