A parian ware 'Paul Et Virginie' jug, T. J. & J. Mayer, Dale hall Pottery, 1845-1855, the white porcelain body relief-moulded with a young couple, Paul et Virginie, on an exotic island with palm trees (Mauritius), on one side Paul is depicted carrying Virginie, the relief in white against a dotted turquoise blue ground, with a foliate branch handle, bearing printed backstamp, diamond mark and incised numbers to the underside. Height 21 cm
