A carved agate brush washer, late Qing, early 20th century, the oval form two-handled brush washer with a lipped rim, the sides fluted with Mughal-style vertical ribs to the exterior, the short ends suspending loose-ring handles, relief carved to the interior with three ducks amongst lotus flowers, the translucent stone of amber tone with bands and shadings of creamy white colour.
