Two soapstone figures: a Luo Han and a Buddhist lion with Cubs, the Chinese honey tone carved soapstone figures comprising a Buddhist lion depicted standing with a moving ball in his open mouth over openwork scrolls with cubs and a pierced brocade ball, atop a pierced two-tone base carved as a craggy rock with an extra cub, together with a seated Luo Han holding a stupa, with finely incised beard, on a similar mottled stone base. Height 16.5 cm and smaller
