Beautiful Japanese Meiji period Imperial presentation silver box and cover, marked with Jungin (pure silver) and maker Kobayashi-sei, of cylindrical serpentine form, the inset lid decorated with gold chrysanthemum mon flanked by a pair of stylised storks, the interior opening to lines of script, total weight 110gm, diameter 6.5 cm.
