Nikolay Ivanovich Lieberich (Russian, 1828-1883), Russian cast iron figure of peasant girl, depicted riding a horse, with rake in one hand, signed in Cyrillic, 18(?) mark rubbed, with Kasli foundry to underside, a/f, 42 cm x 40 cm catalogue note: established as an iron foundry in the early 18th century, the Kasli plant began producing cast-iron sculptures in the 1820s and quickly became famous all over the world. The plant wins the highest award at the All-Russian Art and Industry in 1896.
