Two Aboriginal Drone pipes, two rare, early 1900s beanwood drone pipes. Spencer & Gille (1899) mention these are 'Rudimentary trumpets' called Ilpirra used in magic and ceremony for charming women and also used in corrobberees such as the Atnimokita. Collected 1950s by geologist Headley gates. 63 cm and 69 cm (2)
