A small Japanese Satsuma vase, Meiji period (1868-1912), late 19TH/Early 20th century, finely painted scene in gilt and enamels of village life as peasant farmers set off on a trip, the shoulders decorated in floral millefleurs and the foot with repeating whirlpool design.
