Pair mid 18th century Chelsea porcelain figures, seated young man and lady, accompanied by a hound' and lamb respectively. Hand painted and gilt decoration, and floral encrustations with usual minor losses to petals. Gold anchor mark to both verso, height 17.5 cm, auctioneer's note: these figurines are depicted in two Albert Sherman paintings to be offered in our auction Saturday, May 20th, lot 37, Provenance: Mr Victor Newbold, Newcastle; thence by descent.
