Two Australian Aboriginal Spearthrowers and fire sticks (Northern Territory and Queensland), carved wood, lengths 89 cm, 78 cm, and 68 cm. Early 20th century Northern Territory spear thrower, carved wood, peg attached by sinew and resin; cape York spear thrower, carved wood, peg attached by sinew and resin, bailer shell handle; fire sticks, carved wood, beeswax, palm leaf and red abrus seeds. Executed in cape York Queensland and Northern Territory, early to mid 20th century; estate of Mr Gary Bradley, Victoria; thence by descent. Private Collection, Victoria
