Gold Memorial brooch, circa 1870; of oval design, centring a glazed compartment enclosing a lock of styled hair with pearl accent, framed by a decorative surround applied with granulation and wirework, the reverse centring a glazed photo compartment, mounted in 18ct gold with a low carat gold brooch pin, length 40 mm, width 35 mm, total gross weight approximately 14 grams.
