A Chinese famille-rose small box and cover, Qianlong mark, Republic period, 20th century. The lid is well painted with a pair of quails resting on the grass beside the river bank in front of rocks and flowers, 'Qian long Nian Zhi' four-character blue enamel seal mark to the base.
