A wall hanging created from discarded parts of Army uniforms and other material to hand, 50 x 138 cm and affixed to backing card, the image depicts a Middle-Eastern camel train. Born in 1917, Dowling enlisted in November 1939 and was discharged in October 1945. He created this work of art to commemorate his service in Palestine and other Middle Eastern battlefields.
