A World War Two Military Cross Group to Captain W.J. Chapman, Royal Irish Fusiliers, who was badly wounded in action (7th April 1943) in Tunisia: The group comprises his Military Cross (Gri), his 1939-45 Star, his Africa Star with clasp 1st Army, his France and Germany Star, his Defence Medal and his War Medal (1939-45). Court mounted for display; with copies of the M.C. citation and Mm citation for the action, newspaper articles and London Gazette extracts. Chapman was presented with his Military Cross by the King at Buckingham Palace on 29th September 1943.
